OMGosh. That is so difficult for you. I can't begin to image. My friend went through it a while back. Her relief came from laying in a swimming pool but that very limiting.SHe seems to have improved. I have started watching the newsinslowfrench which is helping me gain confidence and I have signed up to use an AI tutor. I have a goal to speak better before I spend 2 months in Paris next year. Hopefully both will be money well spent. Fingers crossed - I have never had vertigo.
You will really benefit from knowing French. Especially in the outdoor markets and places where people aren't likely to speak any English. Exciting for you!!!!!
I also suffer with vertigo. I had a bad sinus infection that destroyed the nerve for balance in my right ear. I waited seven months to see Dr Priesol at Mass General who is a specialist for this problem. I did all the exercises faithfully but I still suffer from vertigo and anxiety makes it worse. I’m sorry you suffer from BPPV. It’s awful.
Thanks Tina. Not knowing when it will hit is just awful. I'm sorry for you also. If I learn anything helpful and will move us forward, I promise to write here.
I never knew you had that. When people tell you old age has nothing to do with it, they lie.
I'm unable to get around the way I used to and it also makes me feel isolated. Plus every doctor who speaks English only thinks they do & doesn't know he's incomprehensible.
I'm happy for you that you can walk everywhere.. I used to and enjoyed it. My knees make me very tired after 2 blocks. Also I need my cane because I have begun losing my balance here and there. It's effing old age!
I have had vertigo and it is scary indeed. I hope you get some relief soon, Sara. This too, shall pass.....but in the meantime, it sucks! Thinking of you.....xx
I hope you will feel better soon, Sara. I appreciated the metaphor of doing everything in high heels and backwards. It is very challenging to not feel well and on top of it to worry about missing something important that the dr might say.

Take care my friend.

Oh, Sara, so sorry you're going through this exhausting, unsettling experience. I hope you get some relief soon. Sending warm wishes.
I will happily pay a fee to keep my health coverage here. And my doctors have started only speaking French with me, so I get it. Keep strong.
