Yes, big questions about where to live when you get really old. And when do you get really old? I have children on this side of the pond, and I knew I wanted to be closer to them. Now, my decision is when to downsize from the home I love to a continuing care community. I'm not old enough, yet.

Though I am sure you don't need to be in the States to be politically aactive, I do take some comfort in precinct meetings and participating in local as well as State and Federal elections. That said, sometimes I really long for France.

Ah, yes, those decisions of which side of the 'pond' to be on when we must make those decisions for our 'old age cycle'.... not easy at all. Always pros & cons PLUS our true fluency in the language comes into play (as we are losing our marbles?) Great food for thought Sara - thanks.
